Install the HyperView Server on one machine and connect to it. It takes about five minutes, and a trial account has everything you need.
Before you start
A HyperView console login.
A machine you want to reach, where you can run an installer as administrator or root.
Step 0 - Create an installation key (Optional)
When you create your account, a default installation key is generated and assigned to you.
Go to Admin > Installation Keys.
Click Actions > Create key.
Enter a Name and choose an Owner. Leave everything else at its default.
Click Create.
For what the other settings do, see Installation keys.
Step 1 - Get the install command
Go to Installation. If you'd like a walkthrough of this screen, click Show tour.
Under Installation key, choose the key you just created.
Under Target OS, choose Windows, Linux or macOS.
The Install command appears.
Click the copy button.
NOTE: The command contains your installation key. Anyone who has it can register a system into your account, so treat it like a password.
Step 2 - Run the command on the machine
Run the command on the target machine as administrator or root:
Windows: search the Start menu for PowerShell, choose Run as administrator, and paste the command.
Linux: a root shell, or
sudo.macOS: a terminal, with
sudo.
Step 3 - Find the system on the Systems screen
Go to Systems.
Within a few seconds the machine appears with a green dot and a Last Heartbeat of just now. If the list is long, choose the Recently registered view or search for the machine's name.
If it doesn't appear, see A system didn't register, or registered twice.
Step 4 - Connect
Open the system's ⋮ menu and choose Connect. The session opens in a new browser tab.
When you're finished, close the tab.
NOTE: You're billed for connected time, so close sessions you aren't using.
