Remote support vs an installed system

There are two ways to reach a machine: install the HyperView Server so you can connect whenever you need to, or send a one-time remote support link so someone can let you in once. Both are billed the same way.

The two paths

An installed system. The HyperView Server stays on the machine. It appears on the Systems screen, checks in regularly, and anyone with access can connect at any time. Use this for machines you manage and will reach again.

Remote support. DesktopAgent is a small, temporary version of the HyperView Server. The person you're helping opens your link and runs it. Nothing is installed. You can view, and optionally control, their machine. When the session ends, DesktopAgent deletes itself.

Billing

A remote support session is billed by connected time, like any other session. See How session time is counted.
